SIR JOHN TENNIEL (Feb. 28, 1820)
February 28 is the birthday of English illustrator and political cartoonist SIR JOHN TENNIEL (1820-1914).
Tensile was the political cartoonist for Punch magazine for over 50 years, but he is best known for his illustrations for Lewis Carroll's "Alice in Wonderland" and "Through the Looking Glass."
